ABOUT THE STORIES

Storyteller at Heart

Even as a young child J.G. MacLeod was always conjuring up stories and filling them with colourful characters, sharing them with anyone and everyone who would listen.  Since then, she has progressed to formulating longer and more complex stories that revolve around issues that affect people in their daily lives.  Most often Ms. MacLeod uses fiction as the vehicle to communicate her subject matter, but she is also adept at writing biographical stories as well.  If you would like to hire Ms. MacLeod to tell your tale, please fill out the Contact form at the bottom of the page.

Ms. MacLeod's writing style ranges from gritty realism to coming-of-age and historical romance, and appeals to a diverse readership.  She tackles a multitude of subjects from first love to relationship violence, infidelity, and death.  The novels she has completed thus far include elements of romance, humour, survival, growth, and politics, as well as what it means to be a man or a woman in different settings.

NEW LONDON

COMING 2019!

This much-anticipated release will be the final installment in J.G. MacLeod's The Adventures of Lady Ellen Montagu trilogy.  This work of historical fiction takes place in "new London" in "Upper Canada", 1846.  This novel takes on many complex issues, such as immigration, poverty, violence, and the adaptation of people from different cultural backgrounds. Ms. MacLeod recommends readers purchase Lady Ellen and Two Paths before New London is released later this year.  Two Paths links are below.
