ABOUT THE STORIES
Storyteller at Heart
Even as a young child, J.G. MacLeod was always conjuring stories and filling them with colourful characters, sharing them with anyone and everyone who would listen. Since then, she has progressed to formulating longer and more complex stories that revolve around issues that affect people in their daily lives. Most often, Ms. MacLeod uses fiction as the vehicle to communicate her subject matter, but she is also adept at writing biographical stories as well. Ms. MacLeod's writing style ranges from gritty realism to coming-of-age and historical romance, and appeals to a diverse readership. She tackles a multitude of subjects from first love to relationship violence, infidelity, and death. The novels she has completed thus far include elements of romance, humour, survival, growth, and politics, as well as what it means to be a man or a woman in different settings.
